Grace Episcopal. Honestly, I did think about sending him to our local ACPS because it seems like that is the way that a lot of kids in our neighborhood go and form friendships with other local kids, but I just felt the class sizes were too big.

Ok, thanks for that. I am of a similar mind about Burgundy. Do you mind sharing where your son ended up?

They are Missouri Synod which is a conservative branch of Lutheranism. You can check out the LCMS website to get an idea of their views. http://www.lcms.org/ My guess is it will feel very very conservative to you.

Op here, I meant to add, I'm a liberal Christian, will I be comfortable with the religious teachings?

We are looking at Immanuel but I need to ask in an anonymous forum, how conservative is it? I'd like to hear from families who have children there. Will I be comfortable with the religious teachings? Do the faculty and parents there divide the world into the "saved" vs. "unsaved"? Does Immanuel teach tolerance and acceptance for differences?
