I know Chris back from about 6-7 years ago when we both had kids at Takoma Park Middle School. At the time he was very down to earth, cut right to the root of the issue. Things could have changed, of course...but the Chris I knew was a really decent guy. Someone you could let your guard down around and just be yourself.

I have the chance to sit in on a meeting and would like to find out if anyone out there has had any direct contact with either BOE Pres Chris Barclay or Josh Starr? that is, one-on-one experience with either of these guys on issues that are not public matters such as discipline within a school, or practices unique to to a school or a cluster, maybe about administration (not curriculum 2.0 or funding which affect us all).

I realize they are politicians, but sometimes it's helpful if you know in advance what their standard script is so you can get past it faster. I have surfed the usual sites and seen them at recent Town Hall meetings.
