I had three retrieved and two fertilized, only one lived to be implanted.

I'm 36 and had IVF at SG. I had four eggs retrieved, all four fertilized naturally, all four made it to day 5. We transferred one, and I am now 29 weeks pregnant.

How old are you? That's the most important factor. Let us know how they fertilize and grow.

I had 5 retrieved, 4 fertilized, 3 implanted...and I have twin 3 year olds.

I would be over the moon with 7!! one stim cycle canceled, other yielded zero eggs. So NC is the only option using my OE. But it only takes 1

I also had 7 eggs retrieved - 3 fertilized. Implanted 2 embryos (5 cell and 7 cell) on day 3. My 2.5 yo twin girls are pretending to be pirates while eating their lunch (Arrrr!). Good luck!

On my last cycle I had about 8 eggs retrieved (maybe a couple more - I can't remember). I did the antagonist protocol at SGF at age 35. Five of them fertilized and all made it to day 5. Transferred one, got pregnant and had three left over to freeze. By contrast, when I did IVF at SG a few years ago on a different protocol, I retrieved about 18 on my first cycle and about 25 on my second cycle. The first one was BFN (transferred one, froze one) and the second one ended up with four good embryos (transferred two, froze two). So there really was no correlation between # of eggs retrieved and my success rates and there was a lot more attrition between fertilization and day 5 in those cycles than on my antagonist cycle. The doctor told me that they had been using the antagonist protocol more and more because it was producing fewer, but better quality, eggs. It really is quality over quantity. Good luck!

I had seven retrieved and am currently 27 weeks pregnant with twins and have one frozen embryo. You will be fine!!

If you're over 40, that's a great number--I was over the moon when I had 8 eggs retrieved.

That said, it is TRULY quality over quantity. A friend who just turned 44 just got pregnant on her SIXTH IVF, she had two eggs, one embryo, probably her worst response but this is the one that stuck.

My friends who succeeded with IVF did not have a lot of embryos. They just found the golden one that was normal when it finally stuck.

I had 4 eggs retrieved. One might as well not have been there. only 2 truly mature ones. I have a beautiful 3 year old girl from that cycle.

ER yesterday and only 7 eggs retrieved. No doubt some of those won't be mature. I need some - no, lots of - encouragement. Anyone out there have a similar number at retrieval and still get pregnant in that cycle?
