Actually, our AART told us something very similar to the pp. She said that the committee doesn't want to see that your child is perfect, and they won't believe it anyway. The parent questionnaire is given very little weight, but it does show that the parent is involved and interested.
The committee also doesn't have time to look at every piece of submitted work. If the kid has great test scores, keep the file simple. We were also told that they don't focus on achievements in music, art, or sports, as the program requires academic ability.
