A good source of inspiration for quinoa is the menu at Protein Bar (www.proteinbardc.com).

I prefer the red quinoa. I have it for breakfast with egg, salmon and spinach, and a nice vinegary dressing. My young son will tolerate it but it's not his favorite food.

You can basically make any sort of grain salad with quinoa. I make a quinoa tabbouleh all the time based off the Barefoot Contessa's recipe and it's great. She also has a really good recipe for cous cous with pinenuts and currants that would be great with quinoa.

Get the tri-color organic quinoa from Trader Joes. They have a recipe on the back for quinoa/black bean burgers. They are really tasty and hold together way better than straight-forward black bean burgers. I've also frozen them and they reheat well (a little crumblier texture but still good)

Add chickpeas; avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, olive oil and lemon and sprinkle with cilantro.

I just made some for this week's lunches. I boil one cup of quinoa in 2 cups of chicken broth. When it's cool, I add kalamata olives, grape tomatoes, and crumbled feta. Right before eating it, I add red wine vinegar and black pepper. DH would eat that for lunch every single day. So would I.

We also make a similar salad with quinoa and add diced avocado, grape tomatoes, cumin, lime juice, salt and pepper.

As a side dish, I really like to eat it like rice- (made with chicken broth for added flavor.)

It also works great as a replacement for noodles or rice in soup. I've done it with a pasta-e-fagioli (for which I had run out of pasta, oops), and also with a "Mexican tomato" stew.

Use it in place of rice or pasta. So easy and my kids love it.

It's awful. I spent a year designing food products around quinoa. I can't stand the stuff anymore.

That said, if you must eat this god awful "superfood" ... try: grilled chicken, lemon, line, chopped cilantro, basil, and diced tomatoes, plus of course fucking quinoa. Good salad, if you compare it to eating shards of glass.

We like it. My kids tell me it tastes like wet sand. So just cover it with a melted stick of butter and a cup of sugar. They love love it now.
