FYI, that link is accurate- I used it yesterday to get the locations for each camp. But DPR's website is horrible and down half the time, so if it doesn't work just try again in a few minutes.
The verano at Cleveland was horrible. The staff/kids spoke more English than Spanish. It was a waste of my biligual child's time and a waste of my money.
I am not sure what DPR is doing this year. I am not sure if they are doing 1 or 2 locations and am not sure of the locations.
I think there may be some changes this year-- eg Macomb is no longer on the list. I was told by someone at DPR that all camps will be at rec centers this year, not at DCPS schools.
Re which sites will have which summer camp options: Usually individual sites have the same programs year to year. I'd Google a copy of last year's camp catalogue.
I have my "dream" camp, and then my fallback if that one fills up too quickly. Problem is that the fallback sign-up date happens before the "dream" sign-up date. I guess I wait for the dream date, and hope the fallback camp doesn't fill up? Advice anyone?
