An hour of most handymen's time will be about $250. Unless you find a true neighborhood handyman. But any shop that advertises has the same travel fees, hourly minimums, etc. Even the "no job too small" guys.

Why not? It's maybe some anchor screws and, at most, some firring strips.

Monoprice.com has excellent brackets at a great cost. Its just stamped steel, nothing high tech, no need to pay $100 for it. They also have cables at a great price. Even the in-wall HDMI 3D cables. We've been very happy with their stuff. Unless you have to fish wires, hanging a flat TV is super easy.

Are you trying to reroute and hide wires?

Buy the wall-mount bracket online (look around.. you may even be able to find it on ebay). You want the manufacturer-specific bracket for safety reasons (unless you dont' have kids).

Then get a handyman to install it. Should take no more than an hour.

Well, as long as it's not going over the fireplace.

(I'm sure others will be of more help. Enjoy!)
