Making a big deal about a football player getting injured - it's like acting shocked that the sky is blue or something. I mean, how much research into brain injuries and football do you need before you realize this is a completely dangerous and foolish sport? Maybe I'm extra annoyed because my third grade boy is being ostracized by his classmates for not liking football, and I'm half tempted to sit him in front of the playoff games just to avoid that. Anyway, flame away, I realize it's un-American to question the almighty football, but I just don't understand why this is such an obsession.
I could careless about the DC team however this story is making National News. This QB was a standout rookie this year and the injury may be career ending. This guy was one of the good players vs the idiots we've been watching in Stubenville. That's why it's on the news. The coach may have not only have blown it for the team next year but by having this man play AND not prepping the almost as equally or maybe equally talented back up he may have caused this additional damage and possible ended a career or limited it significantly.
I didn't watch but the last part of that game and when I saw his leg twist I cringed and let out a gasp. It was and to see.
