You can use ammonia mixed with water. Makes my diamonds beautiful.

I use the same solution as for my engagement ring (which has a lot of nooks and crannies) - put earrings in a coffee mug, add a couple drops of liquid dish soap and a few sprays of Windex. Cover with hot water and let sit until water cools. You can then brush off with a soft toothbrush, but I never need that step - the hot water works really well to dissolve grease and get skin/products/dirt/etc. from under the stone.

My jeweler told me NOT to use toothpaste - diamonds are pretty indestructible but it can discolor metals.

my jeweler told me to mix a solution of half windex and half water and scrub with a toothbrush.

My jeweler suggested a soft toothbrush and dawn dishwashing detergent for my engagement ring, I imagine that would work for diamond studs as well.

This is what I've always done. Just make sure to plug the sink. I've almost lost a couple of things.

I have a solution from the jeweler for my rings but it's only for platinum settings. Maybe I'll just buy some of that Connoiseur stuff for white gold/diamonds where you throw them in the little basket, let them sit then rinse. I agree, so hard to keep clean - wear these almost daily.

I just periodically clean them in a solution from the jeweler, rinse, and dry. With products and sweat, there's no way to keep them clean. I tend to do all of my link jewelry in batches and then again after another little while. My earrings, necklace, and ring all get cleaned together.

Anyone have tips for keeping diamond studs clean and shiny? Setting is white gold not platinum.
