Not a factor bc it's easy to find a cheap deal on the hardware and installation for a security system. The monthly payments are the biggest expense and obviously you're not going to help the buyers with that.

I can get a very nice deal for a new security system for my NWDC home (ver safe neighborhood). I am planning to sell in a year or so. The system would cost me a fraction of the regular price. For resale purposes, is it a good idea? Some homes around mine have sec systems, but the majority don't. Thanks.
