We live in a suburban townhouse community and my next door neighbor installed a huge wind chime on his deck over the Holidays. It is driving me crazy and the constant noise is making it difficult to fall asleep and to say asleep. Our bedrooms overlook our deck, so we are pretty much exposed to the wind chime dangling sound all night long. Maybe in time, I will get used to it, but for the past five days, it has really bothered us a lot. Right now, we keep the windows closed and therefore it is not too bad, but I can image how it is going to feel like during Spring when we keep the windows open. I have asked them if they would mind taking the wind chime inside during the night, but they want to keep it outside. I'm not sure what to do. Their bedrooms are on the other side of their house and therefore they cannot hear the dangling noise during the night. I even thought about getting my OWN wind chime and putting it by my front so that they, too, will be exposed to the noise and learn from it, but that is childish. Have to admit though it crossed my mind....

I actually like wind chimes, just not during the night on a windy day. LOL!
