Yes, this is what I'm doing right now. I admire anybody that can go from not running to a 1/2 in a few months. I know people do this - I bow down to you. I've been running for two decades and am just doing a half now. I like Hal's method of fairly low mileage during the week and then a long run once a week. I've found it very doable to go from 4 miles at Thanksgiving to 9 miles right now. Good luck!
