Like, should I be calling around now to make sure someone will take us on as a new patient, or is not the same as in the human doctor world?

It is a 24 hour emergency hospital and we have ended up there a few times in the middle of the night. Nice to have a place to go for emergencies that already knows you.
I have had issues with them WRT ethics. They are about MONEY.

Excellent care and work. She has done everything to shots and check ups to euthanization of our "old boy" with excellence.
Her practice goes by the name of "Canal Clinic" although she is nowhere near the Canal.

Dr. Sohi saved our kitten's life with his knowledge and follow-up care (we had just adopted from the shelter when our kitten showed symptoms--the other kittens in the litter unfortunately died from the illness, while our little guy survived). The entire staff was beyond compassionate on the occasions when we have had to euthanize our pets.
The office is a little run-down, due to the age, but the care is top-notch, in my opinion.
