OP here. Thank you for the responses. These not-so-good teachers - what grades/subjects do they teach? How is the social climate in the upper grades? Any bullying or mean girl scenarios there?

The principal is AMAZING. I (think) she won an award from the Post last year for best principal or something like that. The school is VERY big but it doesn't feel it. There are a couple not very good teachers but for a school that size I would say they are the exception.

It is a very good school but very overcrowded. It you check out the MCPS planning document - they are planning a new elementary school in that area that will take some kids from each of several current schools (including McNair and Matsunaga). The boundaries have not yet been determined.

Does anyone have any thoughts, comments, reviews of this school? Especially grades 3 - 5. Anyone out there have any experience transferring from a small private school to Matsunaga?
