My H was tired all the time for about two months. Went to bed right after dinner. Sometimes even took a nap before dinner. He had testicular cancer.

If someone is sick, they are sick. What kind of bitchy wives are you? WOMAN up and take care of business. Maybe if you spent more time at home and less time at happy hour and the gym you wouldn't feel so overwhelemed by taking care of your kids.

As for Christmas....grow up. Boo hoo hooo no stocking for you. Are you 5 years old? Hang up the damn stocking and move on with your life. I feel sorry for your husband. Men these days have a lot of patience putting up with these foolish women.

Ok....this sounds like me last spring. I would be feeling awful for no apparent reason. Tired and Achey. My wife was angry with me.

Turned out I have stage iv kidney cancer. While there is some optimism based on modern medicine, the historic 5 year survival rate is 8%.

I would suggest that he goes to a Doctor ASAP. He should have a complete workup. Suggest it. He might get better quick. Or they may find something

Whether he's sick or not, spending all day in bed when you're "achy" is inexcusable when you have kids. If I don't have the flu, you better believe I'm contributing to the parenting effort. Op, he owes you.

Maybe he's sick, maybe he's not. Are you,giving your kids the Christmas you want them to have? And, they won't notice your empty stocking. Kids are too egocentric for that - not in a bad way, just that Santa is for kids not grown ups.

And I do understand. My whole family (wife, myself and toddler twins) all have the flu. We spent Christmas Eve morning in the pediatrician for a sick baby visit and waiting at the pharmacy for antibiotics since on top of the flu, it has now spread to ear infections. We also spent Christmas Eve dinner cleaning up from one of the twins who threw up most of his dinner. My wife and I are just tag teaming. We are alternating care where possible so that we can each nap and try to recover from our own illnesses.


So sorry! But I like your post. Stuff happens and you and your wife are being partners . Hope all are better soon!

Just point out that you're tired from caring for the entire family for all of Christmas Eve and that you are taking Christmas Day off and he will have to take care of the family (except for the baby).

Sounds like a resl jerk. I would make plans to spend Saturday out of the house and let him spend the day with the kids.

My husband got "sick" at 11 am today. No fever, no coughing, no sneezing or runny nose. He feels achy he says. So he stays in bed while I care for our two very young children (both under 3). While I do cookies and milk for Santa. While I cook dinner for everyone. While I put the kids down for nap and then walk the dog in the rain. While I fill the stockings. While I do bath/stories/songs/nurse the baby.

I'm frustrated and having trouble feeling the spirit of Christmas. Venting nd looking for ways to tell him to snap out of it. Also, what do I tell my kid when he notices that everyone has a stocking in the morning but me?
