I know! I find it astonishing that there aren't a few more delis in Silver Spring, Rockville and maybe upper NW.

Parkway is meh. But as someone said, it's OP's best shot.

The Krupin's of 10+ yrs ago is sorely missed. You couldn't say the food wasn't as good as NYC because it was coming in daily from NYC, the whitefish, knish, meats, etc.

Another vote for Parkway. Doesn't compete with some of the best ones in NY, but it's the best we've had in this area.

We just went last week and weren't impressed. Overpriced, small-ish portions, "upscale" vibe, a lot of trying-too-hard to bring in middle eastern flavors. I'll probably go back for business lunches on someone else's dime, because I work down the street. Otherwise, not worth going to.

We prefer Loeb's NY Deli over on Eye St., NW, or Parkway Deli in Silver Spring.

Eli's by DuPont circle. Really slim pickings around here...

Chutzpah has a location at Fairfax Towne Center near Fair Oaks.

Can I get some recommendations? I've only been to two, Chutzpah (back when it had a location in Tysons) and Celebrity in Falls Church. I am fiending for a good pastrami on rye with a knish!!
