I got a UPS package on Sunday. WTF. Every single time I've had a package delivered by USPS, it doesnt deliver when it says it will. That's if it comes at all. Once it was stolen. Fed Ex/UPS never anything lost or stolen and I've had ipads delivered to my house that sat on my doorstep til I got home.

I feel like the USPS has given up on themselves. I ordered something from Amazon a week before Hanukah. Hanukah's over and the gift hasn't come. I had to tell my girlie she'll be getting a bonus Hanukah gift later on, and split one gift into two so she had one for each night. Still don't have it.

I have two packages coming from Amazon via UPS. I checked the tracking for them today and saw they were out for delivery starting at 2:26 am (package 1) and 3:04 am (package 2)! I really feel for these drivers at this time of year - they have to hustle to get everything where it is supposed to be on time for Christmas and the volume must be incredible. Especially for people like me who did 80% of my shopping online.

+1 The logistics teams running UPS are extremely impressive, and they seem to manage their teams well. I hope those all night drivers are well compensated. I would love to see just how they manage it (guess I am kind of a nerd, eh?).

You can't trust the USPS tracking information. Tracking will show it as in another state when I have already received it. I'd give it a couple more days, and ignore the tracking, to see if it comes.

Hate to break it to you, but FedEx and UPS are now "outsourcing" to the damn USPS. "Mail Innovations" is what its called when using UPS. Fed Ex does it too bc one of my packages was lost and they said "oh its been transferred to USPS you have to contact them..." wtf?

Yes, I had a package like this a few weeks ago. Went FedEx until it going to Arlington and then they gave it to the post office to deliver. Luckily, our post office was very quick and they got it to us before it the date it was scheduled to arrive.

I've had problems with FedEx and UPS. And no, I have no ties with USPS.

Fed Ex ground.

Cheaper and faster than the post office, and you still get the Fed Ex tracking quality and service.

To be completely honest, my job is linked to USPS. And I to at times have suffered for their lack of customer service.

But - I have to say, I find Fed Ex and UPS to be worse - at times. Right now I am waiting for a package from Fed Ex. According to the tracking it went from China to Hong Kong to Alaska, back to Hong Kong. Then today, they changed the tracking info to make it look like it never went in that loop and put in big words "ON time" Hmmm...I paid for 2 day delivery, which woudl have been yesterday, so how is it that "on time?"

After the hurricane, UPS totally sucked. I'm an Amazon prime member, and UPS couldn't make the 2-day delivery a week after the hurricane. I get during the hurricane, but a week later. Maybe don't ship it through the warehouse that is under water.

At least I feel as if USPS is honest- we lost it, we don't know where it is. Where I find Fed Ex and UPS to be dishonest.

Anyways, I hope your gift is found, quickly, and delivered to you without any damage.

They're just living up to their reputation. Seriously though, they probably have a lot of packages this season and less workers now that they've thinned the ranks. They really do need to do better though because they are hanging by a thread at this point.

I have a complaint pending with the USPS for missing packages. I filed the complaint months ago. It's gone nowhere. I've always been a big supporter of the postal service, but I've pretty much lost faith in them now.

Contact your postmaster. If you're in DC, it's Gerald Roane. If you do a Google search, you can find the contact info. It may be on the USPS website.

Seriously they lost my kids main gift. Tracking has it somewhere on the 12 of Dec now oh they say it doesn't need to be scanned so it can show up anytime.

I really dislike the whole system right now.
