I got the following for myself (I'm a guy). Although these are called liners, when I bought them from a different company last year (they're out of stock there) they didn't call them liners:

I wanted thin ones that could still give me some precision but enough to protect from the medium cold (I have heavier ones for the very cold). These are a great compromise.

NP here. Actually she was correcting your subject line.

Ah, okay. I stands corrected.

Luxurious slippers. A book. A yo-yo. An ornament.

My FIL loves a particular baseball team. Last year I got him the NYT book that contains news stories for that team over the past 100 or so years. He LOVED it.

And for my beer drinking dad, we got him a frosted glass beer stein that we put a current photo of him and the grandkids on (from their visit earlier this year). He'll use this every day, so it will be a good gift.

What are you getting (or did you get) your father in law (or father) for a holiday gift.

My husband bought some things off a very short list for my FIL but I wanted to add something myself.

Hobbys include golf (but we've run through about every golf gift out there), beer drinking, and working the grill in summer. Lives in cold climate but starting to take trips down south.
