My kid is no longer in kindergarten at Rolling Terrace immersion, but there was no aide. I don't think they have them this year either though that could be wrong.

My daughter is in K at Rock Creek Forest immersion and has a full-time aide and a HS intern that also comes in the afternoons.

Burnt Mills Immersion Program has an aide that helps each day.

It's going to vary from school to school--they have a certain number of hours for aides and use them the way they feel is best. I'm guessing most put them in the younger grades, but many move around. I don't think you'll find a school that has one full time aide per kindergarten classroom, unless the aide is there for a kid with special needs.

Mine did not until 2cd grade. It seems they hired somene that splits her time between a few rooms.

There is an assistant for the kindergarten class Sligo Creek Elementary French Immersion. She splits her time between the two immersion classes.

My child is in an immersion kindergarten. There is only one teacher -- no aide. I have heard that other immersion classes have aides. Is this true? If you have a child at one oft the immersion schools, can you state which school and if there is an aide? Thanks. Does anyone know how this compares with other kindergarten classrooms in MCPS?
