One does knw that line b.w wethr ur situatn was cause u decided to abort or wethr it was miscarrage , these r biological outcomes of something that the system craves aftr such a experience, we girls eat more just few daz b 4 cycle n thn we resent food when our cycles start its wrong to call narural individual requments as depressions , gurls think to most cause many nut cases want to deny bofy nourishment when the signals r being gven out by mama nature n want to look mal nourished n depressed just to look skinny thats the category challenging normal things,

Do you tend to use food as a comfort when you are depressed OP?

If so, perhaps you are drawing comfort from eating to deal with your pain.

So sorry.....

I've had 4 miscarriages and I wasn't like this, except for wanting comfort food for a few days afterwards. Otherwise I threw myself into a fitness routine when doc gave the ok. It might be psychological.

About eight hours after I took cytotec to resolve a MMC (at 8 weeks -- baby had stopped developing at 5w5d), I was ravenous in a way I hadn't been since shortly after DD was born. Like the PP, I had been horribly ill while pregnant (talk about insult to injury), and at the moment I'm just relieved to be able to eat normally, have no more food aversions, and be craving the things I know my body has been deprived of for weeks (namely protein!). I assume it will work itself out at some point...

You may be more torn up about it than you think. Comfort eating.

YES I'm starving all the time and I'm worried about it, but I just figure it's my hormones trying to get back to normal. I agree though it is draining mentally and physically. I just want to feel normal again.

It's been 5 days since my MC and I'm feeling much better emotionally but physically I'm still feeling really drained. I'm also constantly hungry. Did lots of comfort eating in the first couple of days but it's not that anymore. Craving sugar most of the time. My doc said I was probably low in iron after all the blood loss which would explain how exhausted I was feeling so I've been taking iron tablets. But no idea why I'm so hungry!

It could be hormonal. I definitely did some extra comfort eating after my miscarriage and have a few lbs to show for it.

Last week, at an 8-week ultrasound, we found no heartbeat. I took Cytotec to end the pregnancy and so far, things seem to be progressing just as the doctor said they would. I have a follow-up appointment in a week to make sure that everything is all right. Aside from feeling a bit run-down, I seem to be fine physically. However, I seem to want to eat something every 2 hours or so. Is this normal? I wasn't feeling this way when pregnant, and normally never eat in between meals, so I'm wondering if this is some weird psychological thing. The last thing I want now is uncontrolled weight gain.
Does anyone have any experience to share? Thanks in advance.
