You will be fine. I have a clearance and obtained it while on meds. Yes, they will contact your doctor, but your doctor will not have to reveal all that much info - basically they will say that your condition would not prohibit you from upholding the best interests of the United States. It is highly, highly unlikely to disqualify you, at least for a secret clearance, which is what I have.

You should be fine in most positions these days. It wasn't so clear several years back. As a result my father never got the treatment he needed and advised me not to as well "just in case" I would ever need clearance.

I had a TS/SCI and they went to my dr but they gave me a clearance despite being on anti depressants.

They most likely will contact your doctor. I had been off meds for about 9 years when they did my clearance (and had spent a year before that tapering off), and they contacted my former doctor to obtain medical records.

No. Disclose. They'll likely want to contact your prescribing doctor or therapist, but it won't disqualify you in and of itself.

The issue gets resolved when they call the proscribing doctor. The doctor can give them details that can result in a favorable or unfavorable outcome.

Exactly. You need to disclose it, but with the percetage of people these days on psychotropic medications, there is no way this could be a dealbreaker.

Not that I've ever heard. When you are filling out your paperwork (either initially or at your periodic re-investigation), you will need to disclose any therapy/counseling that you are receiving, barring marriage counseling or anything related to PTSD from military service. If the marriage counseling stems from spousal abuse, you'd also have to disclose that.
