Yes it does work for fish. I just use regular ground cinnamon but I'm sure a stick would work also work. I didn't wait for the water to boil. I just started it when I started cooking and there was no smell.

Has anyone else tried this? It really does work. I was shocked when I found out, so just wanted to share.
