Love this thread. Yes, Cars and Trucks can be long but I've found that DS knows where goldbug is now, and the book moves fairly quicly because all he wants to do is locate Goldbug and turn the page.

My sister gave my 3 yo a Barbie Fashion Emergency! book. I read it to her once, which was difficult because my eyes were constantly rolling back in my head. The book is now on permanent loan to a recycling facility.

And you have to find this super teeny tiny bug "Goldbug" on nearly every page. It drives me insane. But...DS loves the book and the pictures are cute and interesting, so what's a mom gonna do, right?!

There was a Thomas the Train ABC book that we also "lost" at one point because it was so obnoxious.

My son is actually big into Dr. Seuss and can read "Green eggs and ham" over and over. He also likes Dr. Seuss Learning Library which has books on space, climate change and all other cool science stuff.

The books we, his parents, cannot stand are anything with Thomas the Train. We hate the message: if you are not useful, we will send you to the scrap factory. Hello Nazi euthanasia program!

Fox in Sox is one of the all-time more annoying books. Fortunately, you can skip a few pages here and there and the kids don't pick up on it.

I also think the Froggy books are annoying.

Anything Sponge Bob.

The entire Froggy series. I think the rhymes are incredibly lame...something about the rhythm that just isn't right.

Actually, I love Cat in the Hat -- and Green Eggs and Ham.

DH hates this book too!! He agrees it's totally creepy. I don't like the page that shows the 2 year old putting all this stuff in the toilet. I don't want to give my 2 year old any ideas!
