Yes ... Get something that has glitter ... you can get something glittery so that the glitter will shed and it won't seem as intentional.

This is more subtle. It seems like it would be a good toy - made in the USA, no batteries, no lights, made of wood. How bad could that be? A SET OF SOLID WOODEN BALLS AND A HAMMER made by Melissa and Doug.

First you bang on the ball with the hammer and then when the ball pops out of the bottom you throw it across the room. Then you are left with a two year old with a wooden hammer. And you know what happens when you have a hammer? Everything looks like a nail.

My mom got it online so she did not get to listen to it and it is horrible. I love the loud, light up stuff and I always give them as gifts and everyone said they'd get me back and no one has.

My fear is that this might turn their kid into some kind of musical prodigy, which is the last thing that i need. Can you guarantee that this won't happen?

Something with tiny parts that get lost? My mother got me this Dora with lots of little friends. She lost most of them right away and had to get a duplicate set.

If it is a boy, also try some of the firetrucks - the big ones can get really loud.

There is no off switch either.

they actually got my kids those last year. I need to kick it up a notch above this. Their 2-year old is very adventurous and into everything, if that helps.

Also, they have a very nice house in immaculate condition, so something that could inflict some damage on that would be good.

The best one I gave was a blue plastic rocking horse that made all kinds of sounds I gave years ago for $20. It too a lot to take it apart to get rid of the sound. I can't find it for you.

Anything Elmo - there is an Elmo thing where you put and the pacifer in its mouth and it hums "Pop goes the weasel".

There is no off switch either.

My brother and sister-in-law have an angel child and perfect life. Each year they buy presents for our kids and for us that are designed for maximum irritation - loud, no off switch, requiring constant expensive batteries etc. This year they bought us furbies. Screw them.

What can I buy for their 2-year old that will pass for a nice gift, but will actually inflict maximum pain and misery on them?

TIA!
