This article gives some interesting information on the percentage of students who do/don't graduate on time. Point is, Wilson covers a wide spectrum. From some headed to elite and strong universities to 25% requiring and extra year or two to complete high school.

That said, I'd love to see how the elite privates calculate their "on time" graduation rates given their reputations for holding boys back a year to start K or PK.

Michigan has a generous scholarship given by DC alumni. I think Wilson grads have won more than once.

Not OP, but how on earth did you translate OP's post into someone looking to pressure her child into a school for parental bragging rights?

Maybe I am missing something. I believe all of us want our DC's to go to the best college for THEM. They should have a realistic goals. Small or large, urban or rural, religious or liberal. Parents use the college their DC's attends to brag to their friends. I have worked at several local Univ. mental health counseling centers. Let me put it like this, I left Cornell ( Ivy League) because of the high suicide and attempted suicide rate. These kids were top in their class with high SAT's. The pressure parents put on their teenagers is sad.

Wilson grads go everywhere. DS' class sent grads to Ivies as well as UVA, UVM, William and Mary, Wesleyan, Oberlin, Michigan, Middlebury, U Mass, Northwestern, HBCUs, UCLA,
etc.

Where do you want your child to attend college?

Trying to work through high school options for my soon-to-be ninth grader. A bright kid and social kid who will probably end up with decent extracurriculars (band, and one or two others). Where do kids like this who graduate from Wilson go on to college? I'm not particularly interested in the number of kids who go to Ivies - just trying to find out the range of colleges attended by upper level, but not elite, Wilson grads.
