Sevens if you are looking for something snazzy. Levis makes some really nice looking, not at all staid, models now. Go to Macys and check them all out.

Another vote for Lucky. Good to know Costco carries them.

Levis' are also fine. I buy my husband the straight leg, dark wash ones. http://us.levi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11622252&&cp=3146842.3146854.3691981

He sounds liek he dresses similar to your husband. My husband isn't quite ready for the skinny jeans look

DH age 40 almost exclusively wears jeans, including to work although he is a lawyer (he works at a tech start up). All of his jeans are old and tatty, and he asked that I help him shop for some decent looking pairs that he can wear with a sweater or with an open necked button down and jeans and decent shoes, that sort of look. Generally I think he will like brands like Gap and Levis, and I am thinking a dark wash and a medium blue wash (all of his jeans are so faded, but that's really an out of date look, right?). Can anyone recommend a nice modern but not too "hip" style within those brands, and maybe even one or two colors? I went onto the websites for Gap and Levis and am overwhelmed with all of the jeans options out there. His build is average (not the slim look I think looks good in Banana Republic men's clothes), somewhat bigger in the middle with thinner legs. Thanks for your help.
