FCPS with strong IEP. So far it's working out really well. We are anticipating needing private for middle and high school but will take it one day at a time.

Our DS has a similar profile and was not accepted to the school. I didn't get the sense from talking to the Head of the School that they were really set-up to deal with SN kids (even mild). But you may have a different experience. Maybe it was just our DS's particular needs they didn't want to deal with.

Pinecrest has had a few kids with this profile before since it's small and nurturing. The head does a very thorough job of making the right decision for the child and the class so she doesn't take everyone with this profile.

OP here. Pinecrest. A small typo. This school is in Annandale.

Our DS has mild SN, primarily in social pragmatics. We did look into Auburn and while the school is great, it's way too far from us. How does Pinerest fare off among SN kids?
