Loeb's is open again right? I think they moved to 17th & I or something. Last time I went to FF for breakfast my "drag through the garden" scramble was cold and the bacon was all fat. Don't know what's going on in the kitchen

Old Ebbitt is a great breakfast spot.

If you want really casual there's a crepe place on 14th street (between k and l)

This is not casual nor is it inexpensive, but the breakfast at the Lafayette in the Hay Adams is fantastic. (Oatmeal souffle!) And the hotel is especially beautiful during Christmas.

A little out of the way, but there is a Teaism at Lafayette Park (800 Conn Ave). I love their breakfasts (and of course, their teas).

I'm taking the two people I supervise out for breakfast the week before Christmas. Can anyone recommend a place? I'd like it to be fairly casual and not terribly expensive.
