Most kids are this way, OP. I also think you need to stop teasing your child. Very few children have the aplomb to react well to being teased, especially about the things they are anxious about.

In fact, most people in the world don't like being teased, taunted, or made fun of. I think your sense of humor is a little sadistic. Dial it down.

By the way, children learn from their parents. If he is making fun of others, perhaps it is because you tease and taunt him about his problems?

is this due to anxiety? he get all riled up for even the sightliest poke of fun on him, but he has no problem making fun of others.

i made a bad decision tonight by jokingly suggesting he should ask one of the girls who pick on him as the 'helper' of class chores and he got so mad he wanted to throw his jacket at me. now this is pretty extreme but other times liking joking about buying him an xbox - on the third time he was yelling at me to stop annoying him.

what do you think? he has attention challenges but i don't believe this is that. tks!
