We use the Angeles Baseline chairs from Discount School Supplies because that was what they were used to at school when we decided to purchase chairs for them. They have the chairs in odd heights from 5"-13". But we didn't get the matching table because it's way too expensive. We've been using this travel desk since we bought that a while ago:

but pretty soon we're going to need a bigger table. So, we're going to move to this:

We have the Carolina table and chairs set from Pottery Barn kids and have been pleased with it. It is very sturdy and the chairs can hold the weight of an adult. PBK is more expensive but I think it has been worth it.

Ikea Latt. Dirt cheap. Holding up really well. (DS colors all over it with washable crayons -- the only ones in our house right now -- and the marks come right off with a damp sponge.)

Tip: Cover the white table top and chair seats with Contact paper before putting it together for cuter style and even easier cleaning. If you're really willing to go the extra mile, you can quickly paint the wood pieces, too.

I bought an expensive Plan brand table. Quality: Meh. Chairs are falling apart.

I'm going to toss it and get an IKEA one after Christmas.

I have the Ikea Sansad and love it. Have had it for 3 yrs this Christmas. It's height adjustable to grow with the kids and I like that it's big enough for me to sit with him and do some stuff. The top is white but cleans very easily with a baby wipe or any other cleaner. It is a bit larger than the other tables but if you have the space, or plan on having another child, I recommend it. I have Mammut Chairs but the knitter chairs would work as well.

I suggest avoiding any sort of step 2/little tykes sort of table. The textured surface can be a massive pain to remove crayon and paint.

Got ours at ikea. It's held up well for 4 years plus 2 kids. It's not the cheapest one but wood colored.

Anyone have the Sundvik table and chair set from Ikea? I've been eyeing that one up online, but haven't checked it out in person yet.

at that age I'd go for a junior size picnic table. We originally got the Ikea table and chairs for our kids, but they tended to go over backwards too often in those chairs and the picnic table solved the problem.

I was just coming to recommend the Kritter set. We got the blue table and red chairs. Cheap and durable.

15:36 here.

True. We have the white, and it does need an occasional Magic Eraser. I don't think it's quite impossible to keep clean, but I can see that blue or red would be easier. I still love the Kritter though.

IKEA Kritter (pretty sure that's what it's called). Had it for 3 years, and is still looking good, except for a few paint nicks. Got for our little one's first Christmas, he's 3.5 now. And our 2.5 uses it too. It's sturdy, not overly kid-looking, and cheap. Gets used on a daily basis, turned into forts, used for crafts, puzzles, snacks. Love it.

Our DS is 19 months and very active. We're transitioning from a high chair for the kitchen table, but we'd like a little table and chairs for him to sit and color or do puzzles -- in an attempt to help focus a bit. Amazon reviews are all over the map, and PBK, LoN seem pricey -- but perhaps worth it?

Please recommend your little table and chairs. Preferably one that will last several years and isn't just "young toddler" sized.

Thanks!
