My kids went to Woodlin. It's wonderful. It's small with a devoted and very capable set of teachers, and a strong principal who supports them. High marks.

Unfortunately, 14:04 is right. The middle school has issues. Right now there is so much scrutiny on the school that it may see a (much needed) turnaround by the time your kids get there.

Some of the SS schools along East West Highway, the schools that are closer to Bethesda, feed into Rock Creek Forest and then BCC.

I would also look in Rock Creek Forest.

Rosemary Hills/CC and Woodlin are the two elementary schools for that narrow corridor. Maybe Sligo Creek for those condo buildings near the Blair shopping center, but I am not sure. All 3 have different middle schools though. Woodlin i arguable the best ES of the 3, but it has the worst middle school.

In the Rosemary Hills district your child would go to North Chevy Chase or Chevy Chase for 3rd.

Sadly, I may end up leaving my dh. If I do, I would want to live in somewhere between downtown SS up E-W but below Ct. Ave. What are the better elementary schools in that area? It would be for the upcoming school year, so for 3rd grade. Thanks.
