Chip-ins for companion animals at shelters and rescues are common now - assists with transport and vet work. My rescue came from GA, he was transported by a group of ppl who drive to the northeast every weekend. If a dog is sitting in a shelter, and has $$$ commitments, it buys them time.

I know it is hard to believe, but if you do a google search on Eagle Den Rescue, they appear to be legit.

You don't think people molest dogs, or other animals? I'm sure they do. People are horrible. Don't read the articles below. Just take them as examples that it does happen;.

I see no way to independently verify this story so I have to assume it's bogus. It certainly doesn't ring true. The sheer lack of transparency in this request for money bothers me.

And from the comments they are making about the ongoing investigation, chipping the dog, etc., it sounds like they are going to work to catch the perpetrator.

That is horrible. I think the worst thing is that just because the pervert doesn't have the dog anymore, doesn't mean he's not still doing it. My guess is that he already has a new victim (or will get one soon).

This is one of the sickest things I ever learned about. I'm speechless.
