So DCPS has its own version of 2nd grade level DC CAS just for DCPS teacher evals?

OSSE website says DC CAS is for grades 3-10 in all public and charter schools.

My DCPS 1st grader stressed about not doing well on the practice standardized test worksheet even though he is perfectly on grade level and enjoys math class. Teacher apologized and said she has to do practice sheets.

So is it OK to ignore DCPS 2nd grade scores or will there be any useful info?

This is not true. 2nd grade took the dccas last year. The purpose is to have a starting point on those kids in order to have a value added component to the IMpact scores of the third grade teachers who.have those kids the following year.

Double bump. Our DCPS principal has numbers for our school. Which were good. But I'd like to see others.

Our 2nd grade only takes the PIAs. One teacher says it's BS and it's just to get kids used to taking standardized tests in 3rd grade.

With lottery season approaching, parents have a right to this data.

I wanted to resurrect this thread because I have been wondering the same thing!
