I always get the Whole Foods gravy as a backup as well - it always does the trick and it's one less messy pan. I can't imagine the PPs intended to be condescending but I feel frustrated on your behalf, OP, that people are telling you to make your own. Sounds like you have your hands full! Congrats on the new baby and enjoy your Thanksgiving!

I awlays get WF gravy as a backup. That way if I mess it up, we will still hav gravy. If we don't use it at Thanksgiving, we can use it with leftovers.

Costco

I cannot for the life of me make decent gravy. My BIL used to always be the gravy guy but they moved overseas 6 years ago and I haven't hosted thanksgiving since.

In the time you posted this you could have made the gravy.

I would rather buy something else and make the gravy if you are really that stretched for time... gravy is really pretty easy to make and tastes SO much better homemade. That being said, I do like the Imagine gravy (which you can buy at Whole Foods and probably at Wegman's).

Not a fan of WF's gravy at all. Try Wagshal's.

Gravy takes less time to make than it does to shop for! I presume you are already making a meat of some sort? Just add a quart of purchased stock to the pan drippings, season to taste and bring to a simmer. Mix some Wondra and water. Wisk together until smooth. I guess I'm confused about what could possibly be challenging about that!

OP wherever you shop, go to the deli & ask to sample the gravy next time you're picking up groceries!

With a big crowd coming to dinner, a newborn, a toddler, and a pending move to a new house, I'm not up for the challenge of making my own gravy this year! Any suggestions on where to buy it? I've heard praise for Whole Foods, but that isn't convenient to pick up next week (but I will if that is the best option). Anyone try gravy from Wegmans? That is much closer to my house!

Thanks!
