I hated her, she didn't listen, tried to upsell me on things and every single prescription she gave me was not covered by insurance, and it took forever to get them to provide me with prescriptions that would be covered (and this was just switching from one brand of retin-a to another, not complex stuff!).

I just ask for generics, in fact she has given me discounts and never tried to up sell me on anything. She knows I'm poor and has never been anything but kind to me even though I'm not as rich as most of her clients.

+1 -- no-nonsense; great with kids and adults. PAs in that practice are also quite good.

I used to go there too, switching because Dr. Mikkilineni just left and I did not like her replacement.

I also used to go there and always had a woman, but it was different doctor every time and seemed to be a revolving door. Plus, I always had to wait for at least a half hour to be seen and then they would rush through the appointment. I would recommend Alicia Braun in the Foggy Bottom area. She always takes her time and clearly knows her stuff. I've seen her twice now.

Agree with this rec. Or Marisa Braun, Dr. Allbritton, or any other female doc in this practice.

Go to ZOCDOC.com and type in your insurance company and you should be able to find a few.
