Cabin John/Brookmont Children's Program http://brookmontkids.org/

This place was so wonderful for my child. Many of the kids who go there live in the Brookmont neighborhood, which feeds into Bannockburn ES, though there were also other kids who went on to other MoCo elementary schools or private schools. We loved how this preschool had half and full day options available. Not a co-op but so much opportunity for parents to be involved. Loved how even the half day program included eating lunch at school---this preparation made the transition to full-day kindergarten pretty painless. My child is in middle school now but we still look back fondly on that chapter! We looked at allot of preschool programs in the area before choosing the program at Brookmont. The facility isn't particularly fancy but what goes on within those walls is really special. I completely credit (and will be eternally grateful to) the very patient preschool teachers at Brookmont for potty training my child! Really nice group of kids and parents---for us, some of those friendships still endure many years later---even though the kids went on to different schools.

Also the Bethesda Coop and Bradley Hills Presbyterian, Concord-St Andrews, St. Barts and Little Flower Catholic Churches all have preschools.

Bannockburn Cooperative Nursery School (BNS) and Clara Barton Center are two of the more popular schools nearby. The great thing about Bannockburn Nursery School is that a lot of kids from there go to Bannockburn Elementary School. Your kid will have a leg up because he/she will know kids at BES from his/her BNS days.

Those are both coops. I think some Apple Montessori kids go to Bannockburn. They also go to Burning Tree/Carderock/Wood Acres.

There is also Suburban Nursery School nearby. It is a play-based cooperative preschool. Great teachers and great space, indoors and out.

I am moving to the area with preschooler and kindergartener. What preschool do most Bannockburn ES schoolers attend?
Any other tips?
