Driving yourself home after transfer won't do a thing. And even if they give you a tranquilizer prior to transfer, the dose is so small that I really think you should be fine.

The two times that I did the mandated bed rest I got pregnant. The two times that I didn't I got a BFN.

Yes. I flew myself to Atlanta and back for transfer, it was fine, got PG.

Same here. I drove myself to the airport and flew home all the same day. Also, all the research shows that best rest does not matter in terms of outcomes.

I drove myself home (from Rockville to Arlington) on the transfer day, and the cycle was successful.

Yes, and loads of RE don't do bed rest in this day and age and others admit to doing it only to make the patients feel better and not engage in "what if" thinking if the cycle doesn't work.
