Too late. Don't wait that long.An IUI puts the sperm where they need to be, and ready to go. With timed intercourse, it takes a while for the sperm to be ready and to get up there.

I agree that this might be why they want you to have sex earlier. Try to do both if you can, but don't worry if you can't make one of them happen. (I did a ton of timed intercourse cycles and really studies the best times. I think it would be about 24-30 hours post trigger, since the sperm take a while to get to the egg and you want them there when the egg releases.

We are NOT doing any IUI - only the TI.

Your numbers may have shown that you were already starting to ovulate before the trigger - that's what happened to me. We had sex the night of the trigger but we couldn't make it work the next morning. We had sex the next night (so 24 hours following the trigger). One of those times worked because I'm 8.5 months pregnant.

Anecdotal story, FWIW: I triggered, had TI only one time about 42 hours later (due to travel schedules), and got pregnant. Good luck!

Meant to say, IUI tomorrow morning.

I did a few IUIs with SG and I think it would be better if you hold off and don't do TI tonight. I don't know what "numbers" would benefit or be any different if you also added TI into the mix tonight. You were covered by last night's TI and will be covered by IUI tomorrow night. They will also recommend that you TI tomorrow night (after the IUI) as well as the next night, just to be safe. My DH could barely make it though all those obligations and I think we actually skipped a night, anyway.

I am doing the drugs, w/ ovidrel trigger. I am confused by what the nurse said yesterday and the regular nurse ( who didn't call yesterday) is not calling me back.

SG tells you to trigger btwn 6pm and midnight, have TI that same night, the next night optional, but definitely 36 hours after the first TI (so the morning). I triggered and had TI last night.

When the nurse called yesterday, she said something about due to my numbers, that I should have TI today and not the 36 hour mark? Or both? I am not clear and no one is calling me back.

I am worried about my husband's ability to really go tonight and then again tomorrow morning. And more, I worry that we would be diminishing the supply.

HELP!
