NO WAY! Kids have to carry their own candy! If they have so much candy they can't walk... time to go home!

If there is no light on a porch - means, do not disturb the house.

Take a backpack. Kid's candy sack will get heavy soon and you might help her to carry around her prey.

That's it!

Remind them to say trick or treat first, then say thank you. And take just one piece -- you get what you get and you don't get upset... don't root around looking for the "best" candy.

9 year olds should have it down though.

Don't let them knock the litle kids over in a rush, either!

Be sure to snag some candy for yourself!

Sorry to crash your party here - I am not a parent. But it turns out that tomorrow I am taking my friend's 9 yr old trick or treating (possibly with a friend or two from school). Is there anything I need to know?

I don't have to go up to each door with her, right? I can stay on the sidewalk, yes?
I don't have to get dressed up, right?

I never Trick or Treated as a kid so can't really go based on what I did - there's nothing to it, right? They ring the bell, yell trick or treat, get candy, say thank you, and go to the next house, right? And I check all the candy to make sure it's all sealed. Is that it?
