I have a friend in Arlington who has a tree on her roof.

Makes me feel less paranoid that we slept on the main level instead of the upstairs bedrooms.

I think the Derecho storm was a blessing in disguise - it eliminated all the weak and old trees so when the next big storm, like Sandy, came along, there weren't so many downed trees.

FFx city here, immediate streets all seems well.

I am in the west end of Rockville and my immediate neighborhood looks okay. I think all the high wind storms we've had this summer had thinned out our trees. We have power and no damage.
