OP here. One cord we had just stopped charging, and with the two others, the metal plug that goes into the NOOK got bent when the NOOK fell on the floor. We have the warranty and have been able to receive free replacements. Our warranty runs out in January, though. Then we'll have to start paying if it happens again. I don't know why I said we have had it a year and a half. We've had it since January. I don't believe it has even been out a year yet.
