I don't believe the story of Jack and the Beanstalk is real, but I still take my kid to see the show. I think some parts of the Bible are fiction and I would interpret these stories to my kid as I see fit.
The OP believes in God, so not sure why you had to add the stuff about the Bible and fiction.

My church is going to PA this December and many are going to Sight and Sound. I'm not, but it's because it's expensive for a family of 6 and I don't think my 3.5 will sit still for the show. We're going to Hershey Park instead.
If cost isn't a factor, I say go. But I would "prep" her with the story beforehand so that she will be familiar with what's going on.

OP, I would go and if you don't like it you can decide not to go back. You may be able to get a refund mid show if you really hate it. If you teach the bible stories at home, it is a great way to see them acted out.

Op here: In regard to the church part, we just haven't found a church that we feel comfortable with yet but we have visited churches and teach some bible stories and give thanks before we eat. But maybe you all raise a good point that if we aren't real church goers then it might not be worth it. I just thought that maybe the theatrics part of it might be nice. My mom loves it but she always goes on a church sponsored trip.

I have been twice (a few years ago). The youngest kids I have seen were probably 5 or so. 7 should be fine. There was a Duggar episode where they took all of the kids including the tiny ones.

How does that work, exactly? Do you study the Bible at home? What point of reference would you have to explain the show?
Never been. They seem too cheesy. Definitely not the kind of thing someone who is "spiritual" but hates "organized religion" would find satisfying. So, I'm really puzzled.

What age do you think is best for a kid? My dd is 7. Jonah is there thru the end of the year and then I think Noah starts. I figure she would like the animals and the theatrics.
