We've been trying to reach out to all Haycock and Louise Archer AAP parents of children from the Shrevewood, Lemon Road, Westgate, Freedom Hill, Stenwood and Westbriar boundaries. Get the word out and have people email that address and we'll get them in our group.

I was there... PP info is correct on timeline - they will announce in Dec/Jan for fall 2013. However, I would NOT wait to act until you hear their plan if you want the possibility of being grandfathered in. Please organize with other parents and press them to provide current parents the option of staying. When that came up at the meeting, they seemed clearly uncomfortable talking about it so either they are not going to include it or they hadn't considered it. No probably not. It is an AAP center. Not the base school.

Actually, what we were told is that 142 students would be moved out. All of their calculations were based on these 142 students being gone. That really doesn't sound like something that is going to be decided in Dec/Jan with community input.

I often wonder why actual parents of children at this school keep posting questions on this site. It seems as though there is a strong possibility that the majority of posters actually may not be parents of children that attend this school. But people continue to want to make the name a popular thread and bad mouth for an unknown reason. The PTA did send out a hot sheet with the link of the entire meeting. If you were not a PTA member I'm sure you knew someone that attended the meeting as the place was packed. Or why not contact the school or email an official admin rather than get info off of this board where you don't know what is actually true. We were told the decisions would be made about the AAP program between Dec and Jan and that then the community would be notified then and be asked for input. Everyone will have their chance to raise concerns. So please this should be the last post about this. That is what was said at the meeting. They could not give specifics at the meeting because the plan is not ready.

we are in cluster 2. it looks like we may not be grandfathered and will go to the new center. we want to go to the new center whereever it is.

Is her base school in cluster 2?
Shrevewood, Westgate, Lemon Road? If so, from the meeting it sounds like there is a 99% chance they will be sent elsewhere next year and no one is being grandfathered in.

have any parents attended the renovation meeting the past Tues? what were the decisions? please share! my daughter is a 4th-grader AAP student there. I am wondering where she is going to be the next semester or next school year! thanks.
