White socks -- steaking was big in the 70's

What kind of shape are you in and how old are you?

With the weather being so warm, I'd go with the whole Dazed and Confused sporty outfit, if you can pull it off. Cutoffs with knee high athletic socks pulled all the way up with bright colored stripes. Tennis shoes and a vintage little tee shirt. See if you can find an iconic one like a popular character or a household brand. Hair in a pony tail or two low pig tails.

If you don't want to look like a fool, maybe a Donna Karan wrap dress? Or a head scarf and turtleneck?

Otherwise, wide collars and bell-bottoms.

a jumpsuit

wearing yellow, magenta, lime green or some other sort of over-the-top color combo (think Electric Company)

wrap an ugly floral table cloth around you like a maxi skirt (think Chloris Leachman in the Mary Tyler Moore show)

wide tie

wide belt

paisley and plaid together

feather your hair

tie a bandana around your head (think Valerie Harper in Rhoda)

What would you wear to a 70's theme party? I'm not sure I'd be able to find bell bottom pants that fit me, plus I'd rather look a little bit nicer than that. I've seen glasses and beads in the Halloween store, but I'm not sure about clothes.

Thanks.
