The Homeless Children's Playtime Project (playtimeproject.net) collects new and gently used costumes every year so the children they serve have costumes for Halloween.

I donate some and eBay others (the ones that are in really great shape). I also buy them from eBay. If they're only worn once it makes perfect sense and you can find great costumes that way.

If they're in good shape, many preschools like to have dress up stuff. You could always call your kids' old nursery school.

I don't know why, but I save our halloween costumes. I have about 10 years' worth.

I really should dispose of these things now that I don't have any storage space.

What do you think? Donate them to GW?
