OP here
Thank you for all responces.
I do know about Crown Farm, but it won't happend in next 6-8 years according to MCPS, so I'll worry about it later. It's really hard to predict how it would be zonned.

I'd also consider if a new high school is ever built on Crown Farm (and it will have to be at some point given the # of housing units being built in that area) parts of Wootton COULD be zoned out of Wootton.

I can only speak for Lakewood and Fallsmead. Both Principals are committed to 2.0 They even held a joint meeting to discuss it with parents.

My point exactly!
That's why I'm looking for school with active parents /understanding principal. I would be happy to join any parent’s group to make sure my kid is challenged.
In which school my kid would have more chances to get some sort of acceleration/enrichment?

I doubt it would ever happened in Travilah, heard somewhat hopeful rumors about Stone Mills
Would like to know firsthand where Colds Spring/Lakewood/Fallsmead/Dufif stand

So, please share your personal experience, I'm all ears

PS limited to Wootton cluster due to HS student

Hi there!

We're planning to move in the next year or so within this cluster, so I would like to know more about ESs in the area.
I've talked to some friends, went to a meeting regarding new grading standards (all 6 principals were there answering questions), and to me it looks like implementation is vary from one school to another.
Could you please share your thoughts about ES your kids attending and implementation of the curriculum 2.0? Any school in the area still offer some sort of acceleration/advancement?

Thank you,

T.
