DH had same issue -- quick trip to ER with an infected gall bladder that had to come out not too long after check-in (he came down suddenly ill with an infection).
DS was born at Georgetown, and remained in the NICU for 2 weeks. While it was terrific from a medical standpoint...I would have loved to have been closer to home on those endless days and night.
Have been to Suburban's ER 5 times with DS as a toddler.
While I would not have selected house solely on hospital proximity, I like the comfort of knowing it's just blocks away should we need it.
