Thank you all. I see the consensus is $20/25, so that's what I'll go with.

I've never done professional tutoring before, but I did have several sessions of SSAT prep @ $195 an hour.

A high school junior? I'd say $20 - $25 an hour if he/she's just coming for an hour. $15 to $20 for a longer session.

My college age DC did some math tutoring for a friend's child and charged $25/hour. I think that's a fair price for a HS student but you may want to round up on the hours because my DC did have to spend time prepping for each session.

We've also paid professional tutors and they've been $75-100/hour.

I would think for a high school math student $25-$30 hour would be sufficient. Adult tutors with advanced degrees charge anywhere from $60 to $90 an hour. Companies like Prep Matters and the like can cost even more.
