You realize they all say this, right?
You realize you really don't understand mental illness, right?
I'm trying to get help for someone who is mentally ill and has disordered thinking, among other things. He needs medication and psychological help.
I understand mental illness (not PP), but I also understand from your post that your nephew had a restraining order/protective order issued against him and he violated it.
Your nephew no doubt needs help - I STRONGLY BELIEVE WE HAVE A BROKEN MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM IN THIS COUNTRY!
However, it does not mean your nephew should not do some jail time -- perhaps...he broke a protective order...if i had a protective order against someone and they broke it...i want them to go to jail.
If he needs mental help..i would hope he gets that too..but he is evidently dangerous...HENCE THE PROTECTIVE ORDER.
