Are the Republicans going to continue to do whatever they can to screw the president, even if it screws the economy too?

Is this really that devastating, considering Obama changed his position on gay marriage just a few months ago?

Romney supporter here. Not only do I "give a shit" about the dismal numbers they scare the shit out of me--time for a change of leadership.

What ideas does Romney have that are different from Obama's or Bush II's?

No, I'm pretty sure that Romney supporters are either racist, incredibly confused, incredibly greedy, or a combination of the three.

- almost 50 million Americans are on food stamps.
- unemployment is over 8%
- the deficit is $16 trillion. Obama added more to it than any other US president.
- 1/3 of our annual budget is borrowed (adding to the deficit).
- 1/4 of Americans live in poverty.

Does any of this concern you?

Isn't unemployment actually under 8% now? You know, since the economy is slowly improving under President Obama?

And I doubt Romney or anyone who supports him genuinely give a shit about any of the above.

All thanks to the crappy economy that Obama inherited. I'm grateful he's turning things around.

Romney likes to turn things around too - like his positions. Over and over again.

First, I don't see what Romney has ever said to make you think he will do anything to reduce the number of Americans in poverty.

Second, if he did say something, I don't see how you could ever believe that he will follow through on it, since he changes his position on a daily basis and clearly will say ANYTHING to get elected.

Yes but so does abortion. Are you saying that abortion is a less important issue than the economy?

Not the OP. All of that does concern me, but I don't see President Obama as being the cause of these things, nor do I think Romney is going to change them.

I like to think of him this way. I know, I know, it's elitist to know about quantum mechanics. But most of them will probably think this is some sort of anti-God witchcraft.
